The new team member will work closely with the project manager, account team, and existing web developer team. The position is:

  • Ongoing website updates and maintenance
  • Develop frontend website builds from architecting a solution to full deployment with a responsive mobile-first approach
  • Build customized CMS solutions based on individual business needs within Kirby CMS
  • Actively participate in refining the development workflow, technology stack, and keeping the team up to modern standards and best practices
  • Work closely with management to advise on high-level business logic needs, scope of work, timeline, and other cross-department development needs
  • Build web application tools for internal reporting, monitoring, and other needs using API endpoints (i.e. Google Analytics)
  • Troubleshoot and address issues or bugs ranging from the codebase to server level errors
  • Work closely with other team members for testing, QA, and other development needs


  • Experience with responsive, mobile-first development (including converting websites)
  • Experience with build tools like Webpack, Gulp or Grunt
  • Experience with object-oriented and procedural PHP (3+ years of experience)
  • Knowledge of and experience with JavaScript and JavaScript frameworks (Vue.js preferred)
  • Knowledge of and experience with HTML5, CSS3, and SCSS or other CSS preprocessors
  • Experience in a Linux environment and knowledge of command lines
  • Experience with NGINX/Apache web servers
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Bonus Points:

  • Knowledge and experience with Laravel
  • Experience with web application security best practices and compliance (HIPAA a plus)
  • Strong experience with web application security standards
  • Experience with building HIPAA-compliant solutions
  • Experience with building PCI-compliant solutions
  • Knowledge of Kirby CMS, or other flat-file content management systems
  • Experience with Sass frameworks like Bourbon
  • Experience with task management applications; Wrike is a plus
  • Experience with Cloudflare
  • Knowledge of Google Analytics, particularly in the JavaScript implementation
  • Experience working in a digital marketing agency
  • Project management skills
